Manuscripts are being solicited for The Journal of the Civil War Era. All material should be double spaced and not exceed 10,000 to 11,000 words, including notes.

Electronic submissions are welcome, but please include an attachment that serves as a cover letter with contact information.

Judith Giesberg is associate professor of history at Villanova University.

Giesberg is author of Army at Home:  Women and the Civil War on the Northern Home Front (UNC Press, 2009) and the Civil War Sisterhood: The United States Sanitary Commission and Women’s Politics in Transition (Northeastern University Press, 2000).
